Alma mater, recognizes the phases of developmental stages and desires of each child and advocates meeting them with extra-ordinary ways and curriculum. We provide a welcoming environment where childhood is nurtured to form the foundation of a productive adulthood. We deeply believe in treating each child as an individual and that children can learn through various methodologies, that is why we try and incorporate multi-dimensional pedagogies into our dynamic curriculum and give our students the best education that meets international standards. As the Head of alma mater, my first priority is to help my students to attain those milestones that will develop self confidence.
It is my firm belief that school life is always a memorable chapter for every child’s life. However, if the academics are complemented by interactive activities, it embellishes the child’s individuality and makes the experience even more learning and cherishable. This prestigious school was founded in 1980 by a group of committed and compassionate educationists keen to set high education standards for the children. Dr. Ahsan-ul-Haq Rana and Dr. Jamila Rana, both the founders of the school, had done masters from Columbia University, U.S.A and were serving at key educational teaching posts at the time. Till today, alma mater has maintained its level of excellence and has in this long journey, produced thousands of students who are now serving in Pakistan and abroad to make this world a better place to live in.
Mrs Ghazala Farooq Principal
Alma mater, part of an independent educational movement, is dedicated to recognizing the unique spirit of each child. Through a rich curriculum, integrating the academic, the masterful and the handy l, we direct the kids towards self-learning , by arousing inside them warmth of heart, clarity of thought and strength of purpose. We strive to foster a lifelong love of learning by giving them the practical and academic skills necessary to meet life’s tasks. We recognize the different developmental stages and needs of each child and furnish them with methods and curricula that fit each child. We provide an environment where childhood is protected and the idealism of youth can be nurtured to form the foundation of a purposeful and productive adulthood.
"The important thing is not so much that every child should be taught, but that every child should be given the desire to learn”
Pre School, Preparatory, Junior & Senior
At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. As the two year olds begin to exert their independence, our preschool program opens their eyes to a world of learning, sharing and exploring.
The Preparatory program of Alma Mater has been on the educational scenario since 1980. Thousands of students have been successful in the Entrance – Tests during this long period.
This is the first building block of our junior school. This is also the most important preparatory class of Entrance – Test to various schools, including Aitchison College.
Our classes of the senior school follow the Cambridge curriculum which leads to the O Levels programme. The books, teaching methodology and the grading is done as per the Cambridge guidelines.
